Two-Day Training Program on Technical Analysis

 The Department of Commerce, University of Kashmir, today on 17-06-2026 organized the first of a two-part guest lecture series on “Technical Analysis: Charting Techniques and Technical Indicators of the Stock Market” for the students of M.Com 4th Semester.

The lecture was delivered online by Mr. AkhilMahajan (CFA, AFP), a distinguished expert in the field of financial markets and technical analysis. Mr. Mahajan is the Founder of OnlineTradingIndia.com.

The session was organized with the objective of enhancing the stock market analytical skills and practical understanding of students in the area of technical analysis. During the lecture, Mr. Mahajan introduced students to the fundamentals of chart analysis, various charting techniques, market trends, support and resistance levels, and the application of technical indicators in investment decision-making.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who engaged in discussions on real-time market scenarios and practical applications of technical analysis. The resource person also shared valuable insights from his professional experience, helping students understand the relevance of technical tools in modern financial markets.

Dr. Altaf Ahmad Dar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, coordinated the programme and formally introduced the guest faculty to the participants. The online session was technically supported by Er. Kaisar Rashid Gatoo, whose assistance ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.

The Head of Department of Commerce Prof Parvez A Shah appreciated the expert's contribution and emphasized the importance of industry-academia interaction in equipping students with contemporary knowledge and practical skills. The department expressed gratitude to Mr. AkhilMahajan for sharing his expertise with the students.
